Tech Entrepreneur and M&A Advisor Tony Richardson joins Alexander Hutton as Managing Director

Alexander Hutton is pleased to announce the addition of Tony Richardson as Managing Director.
Tony joins Alexander Hutton from a previous role at Meridian Capital, where he led the firm’s Technology and Business Services practice. Tony has found success in multiple industries; prior to investment banking, he spent over ten years in various roles at Microsoft and co-founded technology consulting firm Xtreme Consulting Group, Inc., which grew to be an international business and IT services firm. Xtreme was regularly recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the state and nation, reaching a size of over 550 employees before a successful sale to Digital Intelligence Systems (DISYS) in 2018.
Tony’s entrepreneurial background makes him a strong fit with Alexander Hutton’s mission to guide founders and entrepreneurs through ownership transitions of their own. Along with every member of AH’s senior leadership, Tony has navigated the process himself and has the wisdom and expertise to advise those on their own journeys. Managing Director James Thompson

About Tony Richardson
Prior to joining Alexander Hutton, Tony was at Meridian Capital, a local middle market investment bank. As a tech entrepreneur, he co-founded Xtreme Consulting Group, Inc., a firm that delivered consulting services across multiple sectors and regions. Xtreme grew rapidly due to a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions (including Blackfin Technology, Kipe Technologies, and Synergy Seven). Prior to his work with Xtreme Tony held multiple roles at Microsoft, including senior consultant, technology specialist, and systems engineer. While in Microsoft Consulting Services, he worked with multiple Fortune 500 companies on technology architecture, design, and implementation.
Tony holds a BS in Economics from the University of Washington. He is actively involved with the University, as a visiting committee member of University of Washington Department of Economics and a member of the Tyee Board of Advisors for the University of Washington Intercollegiate Athletics. Tony and his wife Michelle are active members of the University of Washington President’s Club, and they created an endowment fund that is awarded annually to an economics, business or engineering student.
Tony and Michelle live in Bellevue with their two boys, Conner and Logan. Outside of work, Tony enjoys spending time with his family, enjoying the outdoors, and cheering on his son’s sports teams.
