Alexander Hutton is pleased to announce the addition of Henry Lin as Senior Advisor. Henry is a passionate entrepreneur, investor, mentor, and board advisor, with over 25 years of experience in enterprise software, technology ventures, venture capital, and M&A.

Henry brings a deep level of technology company building and M&A experience to the Alexander Hutton team. For over ten years, Henry was a former Managing Director and a member of the Investment Committee at Point B Capital, the venture capital arm of management consulting firm Point B, Inc., where he led investments, and served on the boards and/or as a venture advisor to entrepreneur CEO’s and founders.

Henry was a former operator and entrepreneur with management experience at Microsoft Corporation, where he was responsible for scaling its OEM hardware operations worldwide across four continents. He also co-founded two venture capital backed companies during the early days of cloud computing and Internet eCommerce. Henry was also a private early-stage angel investor through his own angel fund and continues to invest and advise early-stage ventures, often guiding entrepreneurs to a successful outcome.

The Alexander Hutton team is thrilled to bring Henry on board and benefit from his technology acumen and investment experience. Managing Director James Thompson added, “Of the 222 transactions completed at Alexander Hutton, about 1/3 have been software or software related. As we continue to serve our
entrepreneurial client-base, having an individual of Henry’s background will pay dividends. Like all Senior Advisors and Managing Directors, Henry has invested in, built, and sold companies. We think that perspective is valuable to best serving our client needs.”

“Having built my own companies, invested and advised many great entrepreneurs to their exits, there’s one thing that the founders and the boards have often overlooked, is having a trusted M&A advisor and partner who can effectively guide and support a process to a great outcome,” said Henry. “Alexander Hutton and its team of former operator/advisors and associates have both the depth of knowledge and experience, and the emotional intelligence to create successful exits for founders, because they operate with a owner/operator mindset. It’s why I am excited to join as a Senior Advisor to a great team, and to help more entrepreneur founders and investors to achieve their desired outcomes.”
